Oweh discussed miscommunication between defensive coordinator Daronte Jones and his coaching staff. While he seemed to be explaining why the defense could IMPROVE, his comments have sparked serious concerns about Washington's coaching!

PLUS — the final injury report ahead of Sunday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles!

JAVON KINLAW IS OUT!

SAQUON BARKLEY IS IN!

Can the Commanders overcome their defensive struggles and shut down Philadelphia's offense?!

My Commanders X-factors vs. Eagles:

DEFENSE:
Trey Amos
Odafe Oweh
Daron Payne

OFFENSE:
Antonio Williams
Chig Okonkwo
Austin Ekeler

Washington NEEDS these guys to deliver Sunday night!

Who has the biggest game?

FIRST, ANTONIO WILLIAMS AGAINST COOPER DEJEAN!

With Terry McLaurin out, Williams has a chance to take on a MUCH BIGGER ROLE in Washington's offense!

And I think he could make some plays working out of the SLOT against Philadelphia!

THIS COULD BE A BIG OPPORTUNITY FOR THE ROOKIE!

NOW, ON DEFENSE!

SONNY STYLES AGAINST SAQUON BARKLEY!

Look, Barkley might be a little banged up!

But I DON'T CARE!

HE IS STILL THE MOST DANGEROUS PLAYER ON THIS EAGLES OFFENSE!

And if the Commanders let him get going, it could be a LONG night for Washington's defense!

Could Washington start moving veterans to build toward the future?

I HAVE THREE NAMES TO WATCH:

Daron Payne, K'Lavon Chaisson, and Frankie Luvu.

AND HERE'S THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CONVERSATION!

SHOULD WASHINGTON GO AFTER BRIAN THOMAS JR.?

With Terry McLaurin out, the Commanders could use another young, explosive receiver!

Thomas has the talent to be a difference-maker alongside Jayden Daniels for YEARS to come!

But would the asking price be worth it?

THE COMMANDERS HAVE SOME MAJOR DECISIONS AHEAD!

Should Adam Peters be BUYING, SELLING, or doing a little bit of BOTH?

Washington is coming out of its bye week at 1-4-1, DESPERATELY needing a win!

And they're facing an Eagles team that is BEAT UP, sitting at 2-5, and playing with BACKUP QUARTERBACK Tanner McKee!

IF YOU CAN'T WIN THIS GAME, ISN'T IT TIME TO TRY SOMETHING NEW?

SUNDAY NIGHT SHOULD BE A MUST-WIN FOR DAN QUINN!

PLUS — AS UPSET AS I AM ABOUT LOSING TERRY MCLAURIN FOR THE SEASON, I ACTUALLY THINK THE COMMANDERS HAVE SOME INTERESTING OPTIONS AT WIDE RECEIVER!

Stefon Diggs is still a proven playmaker!

Rookie Antonio Williams has shown some encouraging flashes, and he should have an opportunity to take on a bigger role!

And Treylon Burks is another player who could make an impact if he can stay healthy!

Washington is coming out of its bye week with an NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles!

And I genuinely believe the Commanders HAVE TO WIN THIS GAME!

Because if Washington loses?

The Commanders fall to 1–5–1!

And at that point, I think the season is probably LOST!

Even in a struggling NFC East, Washington simply can't afford to keep falling further behind!

Even without Jalen Hurts, Philly always presents one massive challenge:

SAQUON BARKLEY!

He might be dealing with injuries, but Barkley remains one of the most dangerous running backs in the NFL!

He can completely change a game with ONE PLAY!

And if the Commanders allow him to get going?

It's going to make winning this game incredibly difficult!

Coming out of the bye week, I wanted to take a look at the players who have impressed me the MOST!

And for me, there are TWO clear standouts!

FIRST — JAYDEN DANIELS!

Washington's quarterback has made mistakes.

And there are certainly things he needs to improve!

But I think Daniels has been the Commanders' BEST offensive player this season!

He's continued to make plays despite the issues surrounding this offense.

PLUS — SONNY STYLES!

The rookie linebacker has been my pick for Washington's BEST defensive player!

Styles has brought athleticism, physicality, and energy to a defense that's struggled to find consistency!

I've been incredibly impressed with how he's handled himself early in his NFL career!

The Washington Commanders quarterback has been AWESOME over the last two games!

But instead of focusing on everything he's doing well...

EVERYBODY WANTS TO TALK ABOUT HIS MISTAKES!

And look, I understand the criticism!

Jayden has made some decisions that he absolutely needs to learn from.

But those mistakes shouldn't completely overshadow his performance!

PLUS — THE COMMANDERS MUST MAKE MOVES AT THE NFL TRADE DEADLINE!

I DON'T CARE WHETHER WASHINGTON BUYS OR SELLS!

There are arguments for BOTH approaches!

Adam Peters needs to pick a direction and TAKE ACTION!
