This week Pastor Sam looks at Chapter 6 to see what it says (and does not say) about the Nephilim

Remember: The Nephilim are barely mentioned and left almost unknown in Genesis 6, we know they are men of renown and giant, that they were the mixed children of sons of God and daughters of man. They were also the symptom of creation’s illness of sin. The earth was covered in corruption, sin and violence and this grieved God in his heart, the flood that followed was an act of mercy, not violence. Even so, Noah was faithful to God, a candle of light flickering in a world of darkness.

This week Pastor Sam talks about LivesRemember: Post Adam but pre-flood people had the Vitality from Eden still in them, this decline of aging was slow, but after the flood changed ecosystems the rate of decline increased, Abraham for example lived a long life compared to us, but compared to others before him, his life was short. We must remember though that our significance is not how long we live, but how we live in service to God Songs:The Vitality of Eden-EpisodeAll Things Bright and Beautiful-Reading PlanThe Vitality of Eden was produced with the help of Suno AI and is owned by Maple Street Ministries under our licensing agreement. Our version of ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ was produced with the help of Suno AI and is owned by Maple Street Ministries under our licensing agreement. This week Pastor Sam tackles Genesis Chapter 4Remember: Cain’s offering was rejected not because of what it was, but because of what it was worth, for this God gave a warning that Cain did not listen to. Even in the discipline though God showed mercy and Cain’s like continued on, even giving us many things we enjoy today. Through this chapter we see what happens when worship becomes something we simply do, and something that we make central to our lives.
