As another wonderful season of Live Wild comes to a close, Hilary Rose is taking a short summer break.

In this brief solo episode, Hilary shares a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has listened, supported and been part of the Live Wild community this season. As a busy mum of two, she's looking forward to spending the summer making memories with her family, getting outdoors and embracing a slower pace for a little while.

The podcast will return in September with brand new episodes, inspiring guests and more conversations to help you live a little wilder, healthier and more intentionally.

Until then, thank you for being here, have a wonderful summer, and we'll see you soon.

What if laughter is more than just entertainment? What if it’s survival, connection and healing?

In this solo episode of Live Wild, Hilary Rose reflects on the deeper role humour has played in her life - not just as someone who works in comedy, but as someone who has genuinely needed it through difficult times.

From growing up with Irish humour as a form of connection and coping, to working in comedy across The Young Offenders, sketch shows and live performance, Hilary explores why laughter matters so much - especially during hard seasons of life.

This episode dives into the emotional, cultural and even physiological impact of laughter. From nervous system regulation and stress relief to collective healing and human connection, Hilary shares why comedy may be far more powerful than we often realise.

Because sometimes laughter isn’t about avoiding pain - it’s about helping us carry it.

Key topics discussed

• Why humour is deeply rooted in Irish culture
• Comedy as a coping mechanism and survival tool
• The connection between laughter and the nervous system
• How laughter helps regulate stress and release tension
• Why people laugh most during difficult times
• The healing power of shared laughter and connection
• Hilary’s reflections on working in comedy and The Young Offenders
• Why laughter might be one of the oldest tools we have

What would it feel like to truly switch off… and be held for a weekend?

In this special episode of Live Wild, Hilary Rose is joined by Wendy Riordan, founder of the Nourish & Flow Festival, for a beautiful conversation about rest, connection and creating space to come back to yourself.

Nourish & Flow is a women-only, festival-style retreat designed to feel both expansive and deeply grounding. With over 100 women gathering in a peaceful, nature-filled setting, the weekend blends wellness workshops, movement, rest and community - all without pressure or expectation.

Wendy shares the intention behind the festival, from removing rigid schedules to allowing women the freedom to follow what they need in the moment - whether that’s a sauna, a workshop, or simply doing nothing at all.

Together, Hilary and Wendy explore what makes this experience so unique: the sense of safety, the depth of connection, and the quiet, powerful shifts that can happen when you give yourself permission to pause.

This is a conversation about rest that isn’t forced, growth that isn’t pressured, and the magic that happens when women come together without expectation.

Key topics we discuss:

• What Nourish & Flow Festival is and what makes it different
• Creating space for rest, freedom and choice
• The power of community and connection between women
• Why there’s no pressure to “perform” or have breakthroughs
• The balance between workshops, movement and true rest
• Going alone vs coming with friends - and why both work
• The evolution of the festival and its intentional growth
• How small, subtle experiences can create lasting change
