Riders of Basgiath!

Welcome back for chapters 21 - 39 of The Empyrean Series: Book 1: Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros!

This week we explore Violet and Xaden's relationship, we get a trip (or 2) to the front lines, and we learn Venin are REAL! Don't forget about the twist NO ONE saw coming in the last chapter!

This marks the beginning of our hiatus! We are restructuring the podcast, with the goal to better understand and talk through the events that happen in Iron Flame and Onyx Storm!

If you have anything you want to hear from us, any suggestions or ANYTHING, please send us an email @litlibationspodcast@gmail.com

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

It’s Fourth Wing time!! That’s right, Rebbeca Yarros is here to stay, at least for now LOL. We are following the journey of long haired Violet Sorrengail as she tries to survive dragon rider college (sign me up, amirite?). There will be a fun love triangle featuring an uptight rule follower who will hold back our beloved FMC out of fear and a shadow daddy who allows her to shine bright like a diamond…sound familiar? Lots of people die in this first half, but don't worry the only person that seems to mourn these fallen students is Violet. Tune in and let us know your thoughts!

This episode's drink is inspired by the icon herself, Ms. Violet Sorrengail. Made with violet liqueur, vodka, lemon juice, and grenadine. Yum!

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

This week we are reading the rest of Variation by Rebecca Yarros! The romance really kicks up a notch in this episode. However, some of the mystery that has been building does fall a bit flat for us. Tune in to hear how we feel about the conclusion of this book. Let us know if your opinions are similar or if you disagree!

This week we are both drinking Vodka soda! It does seem that it only takes one drink to get Kylie feeling a bit lit!

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

This week we are reading Variation by Rebbeca Yarros! We needed a bit of change of pace with this one and we couldn't be more excited! This book is about a coast guard rescue diver and a ballerina navigating the complicated choppy waters of their situationship. Although we know nothing about being a coast guard rescue diver or being a ballerina we can definitely relate to the complicated situationship! Tune in to hear our thoughts on this week's episode!

This week Cori is drinking Vodka soda and Kylie is drinking water. Kylie is still not feeling 100 % but will be back at it again next week!

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

This week we are finishing up our House of Flame and Shadow journey, as well as our Crescent City journey as a whole. It has had its ups and downs, but I think we definitely are ending on a high note with this book. Things take even crazier turns but boy is it entertaining. So, join us as we say, “Goodbye for now!” to our favorite Lunathians!

This week is an edible episode again! Because you can truly never have too many edible episodes.

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

This week we are talking chapters 56 - 79 of Sarah J. Maas’s Crescent City: House of Flame and Shadow!

The trend of unserious-ness definitely bleeds into this section! It is fun and crazy and we absolutely love it!! Bryce is finally embracing her leadership role which is so fun to see. We also have another character thrust into a leadership position in the most outrageous way, so tune in to see who that is!

This week is an edible episode! So gear up, and prepare to laugh. I know we did!

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

This week we are reading House of Flame and Shadow Pt. 2, chapters 29 - 55! This part isn't as jam packed as last week but it is still incredibly entertaining. We fear this book might be SJM’s most unserious book because what in the world is even happening?? Join us to hear our thoughts AND our opinions. It is quite interesting because there were a couple inconsistencies we were not afraid to point out.

This week we are drinking Tini’s Hot Chocolate! We actually followed the directions so it turned out incredible!

Hello Lit Libation Nation!

This week we are reading chapters 1 - 28 of House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Mass! This book is jam packed with action from beginning to end.
