What the City Has to Say... Forget the postcard. The lights, the casinos, the Strip, that's the ten-second version of Vegas, built for people who are just passing through. Behind it is a real city of nearly two and a half million people building businesses, raising kids, making art, chasing ideas, taking hits and getting back up. This show hands them the mic. Listen Vegas is hosted and produced right here in Las Vegas, no outside crew, no tourist lens. Every episode is an honest, unscripted conversation with business owners, artists, longtime locals, and everyday residents about what it actually takes to live, work, and build a life in one of the most misunderstood cities in the country. No club guides. No buffet reviews. No fake hype pretending everything here is a party. Just real people telling real stories about the Vegas that exists after the tourists go home. If you were born here, moved here, built something here, or you're still trying to figure this city out, this show is for you. Because there's another Las Vegas underneath the one on the boulevard, and it's louder, realer, and far more interesting than anything on a billboard. Produced in Las Vegas. For Las Vegas. By people who actually live here. Part of the ListenVegas Podcast NetworkMillianSpeaks, LLC. All Rights Reserved Social Sciences Travel Writing & Commentary

  • He Fired the Entertainment Industry - Matt Baldoni
    24 Oct 2026

It started with a truck camper, a guitar and a battery pack. Not exactly the traditional retirement package for a Las Vegas musician. Matt Baldoni spent three decades in Las Vegas, performing in Broadway adaptations, multimillion-dollar productions and live music shows that took him around the city, across the country and around the world. It was the musician’s life he had chased since he was young.

Eventually, it wore thin. When lockdowns brought live entertainment to a halt, Matt began building something different. He packed his gear into a truck camper and created his own traveling music business, performing throughout the American Southwest without waiting for someone else to book the stage, write the schedule or hand him an itinerary.

Now in his late 40s, Matt is still a touring musician. He just owns the tour. Matt joins Millian to talk about three decades in entertainment, walking away from the machinery of big productions, and discovering that sometimes freedom looks suspiciously like a camper, a guitar and a fully charged battery.
