On the 4th December 1926, Agatha Christie’s car was discovered roughly 22km (or 14 miles) away, abandoned at Newlands Corner, near Guilford in Surrey, on the edge of a chalk pit. The car contained only her fur coat, the small suitcase she had packed, and an expired driver's license belonging to the novelist. Agatha herself was nowhere to be found.

So begins what remains a mystery as compelling as any Christie penned.
