The Lakers and Warriors met up in Vegas on Tuesday night in preseason action as both teams get closer to the regular season. The game was highlighted by the debut of prized Center Walker Kessler, who, in limited minutes, was as good as advertised (11 points, 9 rebounds), and along with Austin Reaves (28 points), the Luka-less Lakers had another strong first-half performance. But the second half was a different story as the back end of the roster proved ill-equipped to generate anything on either end of the floor (26 total points), as the Lakers' sloppy play (30 turnovers) led to the vanishing of a double-digit lead to a double-digit defeat, a 101-89 loss to the Warriors. Check in with the guys from the LFB on who played, who didn't, and whether the team that was out there looked good taking on Golden State. Mueez Azfar of the Mouse In The House podcast returns to discuss whether the Indiana Pacers can return to their glorious recent past for this upcoming season. Check in with him and Gerald as they discuss what the return of Tyrese Haliburton will look like and whether he and the Pacers can return to the form that took them one win away from winning the 2025 NBA Finals. They also discuss the addition of Ivica Zubac to the lineup and how big of an improvement it will make for the defense, and whether the rest of the rotation can bounce back and regain their previous form as well. Plus, Mueez shares thoughts on the Lakers and whether they too can find playoff success this season as well. We head back home to Indiana (as per the song) to check out what's going on with the Pacers as part of our team-by-team NBA Season Preview coverage with the best in NBA Observations!

Robert Land with Houston Sports Talk and The Bleav Network stops by to share thoughts on the season ahead for the Houston Rockets. Listen in as he and Gerald talk about how the lack of activity in the offseason may work to their advantage, how the only major addition, Marcus Smart, can provide some much-needed help to the team, and which veteran players can get back into the groove coming off major injuries last season. All this, and Robert has his impressions on whether Houston can compete at the top of the West and his thoughts on the Lakers as we continue our coverage of the NBA season with another great team preview. Will the Rockets take off in Houston this season? Find out what Robert Land thinks as he continues our streak of great NBA Observations!
