Latest episode finally out. Let me first say that being a believer and trying to walk closer to God does not exempt you from the most trying of times. At the time of this recording I was already hit with some life changing crap. I was very discouraged and usually I try to keep my episodes positive but then I wouldn't be true to the motto of the show about keeping it real, open and honest. Not knowing the following month our family would be put to the test not once more but two more times. Listening back and editing this episode I can't believe the multiple different mind frames I had at the time of recording and before big life changes hit again. This life we're living is no joke!! STAND FIRM people! Thank you for all the people in our lives that came through with words of encouragement and prayers and listening ears.

Marriage is funny. Life is a ride. And sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when you’re just talking without a script. It’s just us — laughing, teasing interrupting each other (of course), getting off topic and then somehow sliding into a deeper conversation we didn’t even plan on having.

What started as a random Friday night recording turned into a full conversation about memories, marriage, reflection, and whether you can smoke a cigar to the glory of God.

Yes, apparently Charles Spurgeon thought so.

somewhere between the banter and the theology, we land on something deeper about gratitude, freedom, and honoring God in ordinary life.

    It’s unfiltered and very us.

In this episode, I sit down with my niece, Cecilia Highland, to explore her journey through life’s many roles — as a recent graduate of GVSU , a wife, and a mom. Cecilia shares how her faith has shaped her perspective, transforming the way she approaches challenges, grief, and forgiveness. We dive into her career path, the joys and struggles of having a family, and the lessons she’s learned about balancing married life and purpose. This heartfelt conversation is full of wisdom, inspiration, and insight into how faith can truly change the way we see life.
