Gizzy and I are chilling after a VERY long day, eating flakies (I eat the top pastry first, then the raspberry apple jam, save the thick part for last — and a tiny piece for Giz!), watching Twilight New Moon.

Today was huge! My husband, son, daughter (drove 5 HOURS!), son's girlfriend, and I took my son for his 26th birthday on the Wenonah II boat cruise in Gravenhurst — 1.5 hours on Lake Muskoka! We also went to Discovery Center — my son loves boats, used to work at the port. Then boardwalk walking, then Boston Pizza — I didn't get my usual quesadilla/fish & chips/poutine, I got SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS — meatballs as big as Timbit donut holes! Mountain of food, brought home enough for 3 days! And they sang Happy Birthday with brownie + ice cream + candle!

If you know me, I'm TERRIFIED of water — but I DID IT for my son! And it was breathtaking — sun out, fall colors, billion dollar Muskoka cottages, boathouses bigger than houses I've lived in! Worth every sore calf and Charlie horse!

Gizzy had his own adventure at my parents' — play date with Jessie, my sister's deaf albino partially blind Aussie who knows sign language! Sweetest girl! He also might have seen nephew/niece dogs. When I picked him up he climbed into driver's seat and lay on gas pedal — took me, my son, and his girlfriend to lift him out! 40 minutes! Goofy boy hasn't left my side since — probably because I'm holding the flaky!

Now I'm stuffed up — allergy season + tired + all that walking and stairs.

🍂 Friday (today): Coldwater Witches Walk — costumes, group witch dance — getting content!

🎄 Saturday: Going through storage — 30+ years of ornaments! Every Christmas since kids born + since my husband and I started dating! Star that spins Santa + Death Star topper, Spider-Man, Hulk, SpongeBob, Pokemon, Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake, Office, Harry Potter, Wizard of Oz (sister gets me one every year for my bday 3 days after Christmas), Star Wars, He-Man, horror movies! Splitting with kids now they are adults, but still buying them one every year — already bought daughter one!

💍 Oct 23rd: 27th wedding anniversary — Niagara Falls — Rainforest Cafe (son's gf never been, I haven't been since son was 2 in Nashville) + Frightmare at the Falls horror convention!
