tried to keep this book review short and sweet so i didn't spoil too much of the book for you guys- especially for those of you who haven't read divergent- but i hope you still enjoyed it! make sure to check out illusion's delusions and help illusion grow their podcast. this is definitely a favorite of mine, so if you love wings of fire-related content, rambles, and book content in general, then you'll love it!

question of the day: what was a book or book series you loved when you were little? i loved the junie b. jones series (which kind of got me in trouble when i was younger...) and what my mom and I call the "clementine books." i don't really know what it's called, but you can probably look it up and find the title of the series?

      have a great day!! :)

    • series review: a good girl's guide to murder [feat. my mom]
      Aug 23 2024

like we said, there's a lot of harsh and very adult topics involved in this series, so if you're a young listener (which is a lot of you), please do not read this series until you are an appropriate age. and if you do want to read this series and you're on the older side of the spectrum for young listeners, be sure to look at a synopsis before reading it and/or have a parent or older sibling read it before you do, because like we said- harsh topics. apart from the intense themes, i think this book series is a great mystery with some surprising plot twists at a time when you'd least expect it!

on the lighthearted side of book reviews, i think i'm going to read keepers soon (because rainy convinced me to... and because so many of you recommended it to me)! are y'all excited? i just hope i don't get emotionally attached to a character... *looks at heartless and the first arc of warriors* also, can y'all check out my spotify profile (it's {⭐︎junipers.jams⭐︎} and maybe even give me a li'l follow)? i've added a bunch of new playlists with both music and podcast episodes that I think some of you would enjoy. :)

question of the day: what's a book you've always wanted to read? for me, it's definitely the cruel prince by holly black or pretty much any book by sarah j. maas, since i've heard they're pretty awesome books (although i have to do a bit of research since it's on the older side of the spectrum of y.a. novels...).

      have a great day!! :)

    • complete randomness :> [with sibling interruption]
      Aug 21 2024

sorry for saying so many things to rainy (the host of talon talk, i shouted out his podcast about a year ago) in this episode... it was unplanned, but hope you enjoyed the shoutout, rainy (a proper one coming soon)? in this episode, i shared some life updates and rambled a bit about music, wishpool's return- at least, we hope, content ideas, and even had an interruption from my little brother duck, of course. also ignore my laugh when duck came in, the microphone made it really weird.

hopefully the better quality of this episode makes up for the horrible and slightly cringe episode i did about hozier... anyways, should i do a back to school advice episode? a couple of my listeners have asked me to give me some advice, so i thought i'd discuss the idea of it. the advice will probably be very horrible and would probably sound like the advice everyone gives, but does that sound like a good episode to you? 😅

      have a great day!! :)
