Epi. 90 First Season in We Hoopin

Winter Registration is Open now til October 21, 2026, register at www.goodvibesmi.com/league as a team or free agent!

We’re Kickin’ It with one of the newest players to join the We Hoopin Basketball League.

After completing his first summer season, we kick'd it with Max to hear what the league looks like from a player's perspective, from first impressions and competition to team chemistry, different personalities, accountability and what separates someone who can score from someone who actually knows how to play winning basketball.

We also get into his own game, what surprised him about We Hoopin, some of the toughest competition he faced, what he'd change about the league, and what he believes can make We Hoopin even better moving forward. And of course, we put him on the spot about the players around the league.

Who's the toughest to guard? Best scorer? Best defender? Most underrated? Who would he want taking the last shot?

Remember, This Ain’t Pickup, We Hoopin!

  • Epi. 89 When "I'm Good" Isn't The Truth
    30 Sep 2026

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and we're having a conversation that can be difficult, but necessary. In this episode of Issa Kickback, James and Marcellus have an open conversation about suicide awareness, personal experiences, mental health, recognizing when someone may be struggling, and how we can do a better job of looking out for the people around us.We discuss what it actually means to “check on your people,” why someone can appear okay while struggling privately, creating friendships where people feel comfortable admitting they aren't okay, and how we can listen and support someone without immediately trying to fix everything they're experiencing. This isn't a conversation from professionals. It's two friends sharing experiences, perspectives and lessons in hopes of encouraging more of us to have the conversations we sometimes avoid. If you or someone you know is struggling or experiencing a suicidal crisis in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24/7.Subscribe to Issa Kickback for conversations about life, culture, business, music, community, personal growth and the people behind the stories.#issakickbackpod #podcast #suicideprevention #suicideawareness*Available on all Streaming Platforms || Be A Guest Linkhttps://linktr.ee/issakickbackpodFollow Us!
