Anxiety isn’t only about what’s happening in your thoughts. Your brain lives in a body and sleep, blood sugar, digestion, hormones, medications, caffeine, movement, your environment and even the beliefs you carry about yourself can all influence how you feel.
In this episode of Just Take This, I’m looking at anxiety from both directions: what your body may be telling your brain, and what your brain may be telling your body.
We also get into the gut-brain connection, why I don’t think every digestive symptom needs an expensive test right away, and why understanding your story can sometimes tell us more than another pile of data.
