Mamdani Takes 70,000 to Opera; NPR Interviews Tucker Carlson
    13 Oct 2026
Some accuse Mamdani of socialist brainwashing and degrading the Metropolitan Opera with a new annual lottery for 70,000 free tickets to New Yorkers who want to see this spectacle—what’s really happening here? Then, somewhere in a barn in Maine, NPR interviews Tucker Carlson. We love NPR, but this softball interview was not their best work. If you don’t know Tucker, learn more of his odious views and public face here. Plus our satirical fauxmercials and a special clip of a twisted version of the Home Shopping Network, hosted by Becky Toothy-Soccermom.

Journalism from Wonkette; narrated and produced by Dan Bernard; Home Shopping sketch written and directed by Dan, featuring Hilary Aptowitz, Tom Walsh and Dan. Sketch produced by Michael Townend.
