Interview Confidence After Rejection | How to Stop Interviewing Defensively

Job searching is hard. Repeated rejection is even harder.

If you've experienced ghosting, multiple final-round interviews, or countless "we went with another candidate" emails, this episode is for you.

In this solo episode of Amplify Your Signal, Nicole Roberts explores what repeated rejection actually does to your confidence, why talented professionals begin interviewing defensively without realizing it, and how to rebuild the calm confidence that employers notice.

In this episode, you'll learn:

• Why rejection is data, not identity

• How repeated rejection affects your mindset and nervous system

• What defensive interviewing looks like (and how to avoid it)

• Why "paused" or "recalibrated" roles usually aren't about you

• A practical rejection recovery ritual to help you move forward

• How to shift from "I hope they like me" to "Is this the right opportunity for me?"

Whether you're actively interviewing or supporting someone who is, this conversation will help you walk into your next interview with greater clarity and confidence.
