Introducing Insinuation Podcast: Unveiling the Truth Behind Crimes, a brand new docuseries that will cause you to stand up and take notice of the injustices we see in news reports every day. Each season, we dive deep into cases inside our justice system that are often overlooked or under-investigated. Sometimes, it can take years to investigate, but by then, it's simply too late. Innocent lives are taken and repercussions set in.

That's why Deb and MaryAnne, your hosts of Insinuation Podcast, began this series. We work closely together to bring you factual events and advocate for the innocent, or wrongly accused. You are not simply listening to another true crime podcast. You are helping us break through the bystander effect and take action to make a real change in our society.

This is episode 4 of 6. If you have not yet listened to episodes 1-3, we highly recommend you do so.

Deb and MaryAnne dig deep into the neglect and abuse young Adrian Jones endured at the hands of his father and stepmother, as well as the failures of the child welfare system set in place to protect him.

Adrian Jones endured months of abuse at the hands of his parents before his death. The investigation revealed heart-wrenching videos of the abuse captured by surveillance cameras in the home. The failure of the child protective services to intervene and protect Adrian was evident, with numerous calls made by concerned citizens reporting the abuse. Adrian's extended family had lost contact with him, and the system failed to keep track of his case as his parents moved between Kansas and Missouri.

Deb and MaryAnne discuss the need for change in the child welfare system and the importance of advocating for the protection of children. We also also discuss the shortcomings of Adrian's Law and the efforts to improve it. The conversation ends with a call to action for listeners to get involved and make a difference in protecting children from abuse and neglect.
