We get into the history and personality of the course, the Carolina-style feel created by the towering pines and sandy landscape, the variety of holes throughout the routing, and the work that goes into delivering a country club-style experience on a public golf course.
Wally also takes us behind the scenes of Blue Heron Pines, sharing some of his favorite holes, where golfers can get themselves into trouble, what first-time players should know, and what the future holds for the property.
After spending the day playing and filming the course, it was great to sit down with someone who knows Blue Heron Pines inside and out and hear the story behind the golf course.
