Omar Sayed has been building internet commerce infrastructure since 2000. His first company, Succeed Corp, reached No. 19 on the Inc. 5000 on the back of SiteBuilder.com, a web-publishing platform for merchants who weren't engineers, together with a patented drop-ship fulfilment system and the affiliate rails that paid everyone in the chain. Arizona named him Governor's Innovator of the Year.

In 2016 he founded Sperse around a conviction that took the rest of the industry another eight years to reach: the constraint on business intelligence was never the algorithm. It was that a company's customers, transactions and behaviour lived in six systems that never spoke. He spent the decade since building the unified layer he called the digital brain.
