  • Known by the Father Without Hiding My Heart
    27 Oct 2026
I sat with the simple fact that I am a son of the Father, and that he made me and sees me and already knows the desires of my heart. What kept coming up was how much I want to stop hiding that heart from him, and stop performing the version of me I think he is looking for, because what he actually wants is to see me and know me. I prayed through the fear that shows up when I am that honest, and I let myself rest in the embrace of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit all around me. My one ask for the day was to know my own heart a little bit more.

  • God's Love Chose to Create Me on Purpose
    16 Oct 2026
I sat with the truth that God did not have to create me and yet he chose to, with all my quirks and weaknesses included, and that settles something in me. I asked him how to love the people around me the way he loves, with the kind of patience and forgiveness that still holds its ground in what is true. Out of that identity there is a mission he has given me, and I want to carry it by his grace rather than by my own effort.

  • My Identity Comes From the Father, Not Performance
    14 Oct 2026
I led a business buyers meeting today and people told me afterward that I did great, and even though that felt good, I noticed how fast I started measuring myself by how well I performed. So I needed the reminder that my identity comes from the Father and not from that meeting, and that he calls me by name, he knows me, and he looks on me with love. I thanked him for the work he put in front of me and asked him to share in my joy, and I asked for help to keep stepping out and revealing who I am instead of holding back in fear.

  • Remembering Who I Am as a Son of God
    13 Oct 2026
I spent a couple of minutes reflecting on where I have come from and where I am going, and I kept returning to the need to remember that I am a son of God. He sees my heart as it actually is and calls it good, including the parts of me that want to be loved and seen and known, and the part that wants to give itself to a worthy cause. I prayed that I would see myself the way he sees me, as good and as truly his son, no matter what my heart wants or does not want on any given day.

  • Asking for the Holy Spirit to Inform My Identity
    12 Oct 2026
This morning I sat with Luke 11, where Jesus tells us to ask and we will receive, and what we are asking for is the Holy Spirit. I prayed for the Spirit to come and dwell in my heart and my mind and my whole being, and to renew the face of the earth. I asked him to inform my identity and remind me that I am a son of the Father, and to give me eyes to see myself and other people the way he sees them.

  • Beloved Son and Seeing Others Through God's Love
    11 Oct 2026
The Father really does love me, and he calls me his beloved son, and he calls every one of his children that same thing. I keep coming back to the fact that he did not have to create any of us, and he chose to anyway, out of love. That means when someone is unkind to me or makes me uncomfortable, I still need to see them the way the Father sees them, and so I am asking Jesus to give me those eyes and relieve me of my blindness.

  • Resting in the Father's Love and Seeing My Children
    9 Oct 2026
I started out loud by saying that I am the son of the Father, and that he calls me his beloved son with whom he is well pleased. I wanted to rest there, to sit in his arms and be safe with him instead of carrying every care and anxiety as though I had to work it all out on my own. Our relationship is fixed, and when I remember that I am loved, I can walk out from that truth toward the people I pass on the street and toward my wife and my children. I prayed to see my kids for who they are rather than for their good behavior or their bad behavior, and to let an ordinary evening of dinner and chores and bedtime be shaped by the love I have already been given.

  • God's Love Is Not Something I Earn
    3 Oct 2026
I sat with the words the Father speaks over me, that I am his beloved son and he is well pleased with me, and I let them settle instead of trying to prove anything. Nothing I accomplish and no amount of striving makes him look at me more favorably, because his view of me never changes. He does not merely tolerate me, he rejoices over me and welcomes me home and tells me to come join the party that has already begun. I do not have to earn what I already have, and I am already accepted and already loved.
