In this Bible Sunday message, SOWING THE WORD OF LIFE, we explore Jesus’ parable of the sower and what it means to allow God’s Word to take root in our lives.
In Mark 4, Jesus describes a farmer scattering seed on different kinds of ground. The seed represents God’s Word, offered generously to all, but the response to that Word makes all the difference. Sometimes we hear without really listening, struggle to hold on to our faith when life becomes difficult, or allow the worries and distractions of everyday life to crowd God out.
But Jesus also speaks of the good soil, where the seed takes root and produces an abundant harvest. God’s Word isn’t simply information to collect; it’s a message of life that is meant to shape us, transform us and help us become more like Jesus.
So this Bible Sunday, we ask: What is happening to God's Word in my life?
The invitation is to listen with open hearts, receive what God says and put it into practice, trusting Him to produce fruit in our lives that will bless others and bring glory to Jesus.
