The other week, I did something hard. Something I never thought I would do. Something I wanted to give up on more times than I can count.
I ran my first 10K.
But the biggest lesson wasn't about running a race. It was about what happened mentally in the process of preparing for it and pushing through it. The doubts, the excuses, the back-and-forth between the voice telling me to keep going and the one telling me to quit.
I had plenty of reasons not to do it. And believe me, I considered every single one of them.
But I showed up. I kept going. And I proved to myself that I am capable of doing hard things, even when I don't feel ready or believe I can.
In this episode, I share what this experience taught me about mindset, perseverance, and the power of following through when quitting feels like the easier option.
And I want to challenge you to think about this: When was the last time you celebrated an accomplishment you once thought was impossible?
Maybe it's time to give yourself more credit for how far you've come and what you're capable of achieving.
Because sometimes, the biggest victory isn't crossing the finish line. It's proving to yourself that you can.
