Dan Holiday receives a mysterious ticket to a radio broadcast and a note written in blood-red lipstick asking him to attend. At the broadcast studio, he encounters the actress Jean Blake, who tracks him down at the Mayfair restaurant with an urgent plea for help. Blake claims she is in great danger and begs Holiday to assist her, despite his protests that he is a writer, not a detective.

With Dan Holiday, Susie, Jean Blake, Marvin Masterson, Henri.

Listen for: The mysterious phone call that interrupts Holiday's conversation with Jean Blake, and the caller's cryptic warning about her future.

    First aired in 1948.

Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.

Episode notes written with AI from the recording itself; the audio is the original broadcast.
