Joe Zemaitis is a marathon swimmer, coach, and endurance athlete who has spent decades pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in open water. A former professional triathlete, Joe has completed more than 130 marathon swims across the globe, taking on iconic challenges including the Stillwater 8, Oceans 7, 10K in all 50 States in less than 25 days, and a 112-kilometer swim across Arizona’s Roosevelt Lake.
In 2025, Joe’s remarkable career was recognized with his induction into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame as an Honor Swimmer. Whether crossing an ocean, conquering a lake, or coaching from the pool deck, Joe Zemaitis represents the relentless spirit of marathon swimming.
