What if trying to become like the godly people you admire is actually making your walk with Christ harder?
How to Follow Godly People Without Losing Yourself
Paul said, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” But that doesn't mean you have to copy someone else's personality, prayer life, calling, or level of sacrifice.
In this message, we look at what it really means to follow godly leaders while still becoming the person God created you to be. You'll discover why comparing yourself to others can lead to spiritual exhaustion, why discipleship must take your responsibilities and limitations into account, and how to lead others without pretending to be someone you're not.
The goal isn't to become Paul, Wesley, Ravenhill, or another godly person you admire. The goal is to see Christ the way they saw Him—and follow Jesus with that same wholehearted devotion.
You don't need someone else's life. You need a real walk with Jesus.
“Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 11:1
