  • She Threatened the Metcalf Family on Facebook. The Feds Came Knocking.
    8 Oct 2026

The same day Karmelo Anthony was convicted of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, federal prosecutors say a Kansas City woman sent the grieving Metcalf family a Facebook message threatening to kill one of them and put them in a body bag. Then she dared them to take her to court.

They did better than that. On September 9, 2026, a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas indicted 34-year-old Sharifa Nicole Henderson on three counts of interstate threatening communications. Prosecutors allege she sent threats through Facebook Messenger and even called the Collin County government, the office that prosecuted Anthony. She was arrested in Kansas City on September 11. Each count carries up to five years in federal prison. Henderson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

On this episode of Hidden Threads, Macky and Jus break down how an online threat gets traced from a screen name to a front door, why "it's just the internet" isn't a defense, where free speech ends and a federal crime begins, and what you should do right now if someone is threatening you or your family online. Jeff Metcalf says his family has received more than 100 threats since the trial. This case shows those threats can follow the sender home.

  • The Tire in the Road Was a Trap | The Jared Bridegan Murder
    5 Oct 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

On the night of February 16, 2022, Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan dropped his twins off at his ex-wife's house in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. On the drive home, he found a tire lying in the road and got out of his car to move it. He was shot multiple times and killed, with his 2-year-old daughter still buckled in the back seat.

Prosecutors say the tire was no accident. It was bait.

In August 2026, a jury convicted Mario Fernandez Saldana, the new husband of Jared's ex-wife, Shanna Gardner, of first-degree murder for orchestrating the ambush. Prosecutors say Fernandez was the link between Gardner and the accused gunman, Henry Tenon, and that the plot grew out of a bitter custody fight over the twins. Gardner has pleaded not guilty, and her trial alongside Tenon has now been pushed to 2027 after new, unrelated charges were filed against Fernandez.

On this episode of Hidden Threads, Macky and Jus break down how investigators built the case: the phone records, the surveillance footage, the money trail, and the evidence tying the tire itself back to the accused shooter. We also dig into how Tenon's plea fell apart, the new defense strategy in Gardner's case, and what it takes to prove a murder-for-hire when the person accused of wanting it done never pulled the trigger.

  • 100,000 Messages Convicted Him | The American Idol Pastor Murder
    1 Oct 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

No murder weapon. No gunshot residue. No fingerprints. No eyewitness. And a Miami County jury still needed only about two hours to convict him on all nine counts.

In the early morning hours of February 16, 2026, former music pastor and one-time American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn called 911 from his Tipp City, Ohio home and said an intruder had broken in and shot his wife. Ashley Flynn, a 37-year-old schoolteacher and volleyball coach, had been shot twice in the back of the head while she lay in bed, with their two young daughters in the house. Within 82 hours, Caleb was the one under arrest.

On this episode of Hidden Threads, Macky and Jus break down how investigators took apart the home-invasion story and why the digital evidence carried the case: more than 100,000 messages with his mistress, texts about wanting his wife dead, and a message sent hours before the 911 call that read, "I choose you. I'm free." We walk through what a phone examination actually recovers, how a digital timeline gets built, and why the defense's "no gun, no GSR" argument didn't hold up.

This is what digital forensics looks like when it matters most.
