Good Misses is a golf show from two working coaches who spend their days on the lesson tee, not in the algorithm. Kieran Harris is a PGA of Canada Class "A" professional and founder of Feel Good Golf Academy in Toronto. JT is Director of Instruction and co-owner of Fairhope Golf Works on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Every week they take apart the advice in your feed: the jargon, the swing tips, the clickbait, and the myths. They keep it simple, they keep it honest, and they keep it fun, because golf isn't that serious. Expect real stories from the lesson tee, athletes and tour players who come through the shop, and straight answers about what actually makes golfers better.

New episodes every Tuesday. Good Misses is a Funnel Golf show.

  • The Hardest Round of Golf Is the One After Your Best
    13 Oct 2026

Kieran Harris starts with a scene every coach knows. A player hits a 7-iron on Trackman, it carries 135, and they turn around and say, "Man, that 7-iron should go 160 yards." JT Perrine hears it every single day. So where does the 160 come from? One thinned 8-iron that bounced up to a back pin. One 9-iron from 150 that finished 20 feet short and still counted as 150. The number sticks, and the only number you actually need, how far the ball flies in the air, gets ignored.

Then Kieran's analogy, straight from the 2 a.m. feed with his new son. Getting him back to sleep usually takes an hour. One night it took 28 minutes. By the third night he expected 28, it took an hour and a half, and he was more frustrated than he'd ever been. Want turns into should fast, in parenting and in golf.

From there: JT on why the hardest round of your life is the one right after your best. Ego golf vs. mastery golf, from the book Fearless Golf. Scottie Scheffler and why golf isn't his identity. The plus-one junior who shot 73, then 93, took a week away from the game, and came back with 69-75. The 8 a.m. lesson before a 10:30 tee time, and the trap hook that won a two-day tournament. Kieran's student who went 102, 93, 86, 76. The kid who won his first tournament on his own, in a playoff, and said, "I don't wanna do that anymore." Juniors who say they want to play on tour, and the question JT asks them back: what does a day in the life of Jackson Koivun look like? Sudarshan Yellamaraju renting Trackman time in Toronto when he was on no one's radar. Ryan Fox, major champion at 39. How much of golf is luck. And JT birdieing five of his last six after he'd given up on the round.

    Don't live in the shoulds.

  • Tradition Is Peer Pressure From Dead People | Good Misses Ep. 3
    6 Oct 2026

Kieran and JT set out to talk about one thing and talked about everything else. Waffle House Sundays, a park bench in Paris, Bandon Dunes at 36 a day, Sweetens Cove and a dog named Birdie, and playing golf in jeans and Converse. Then the dress code: a golf pro with a ruler measuring a skirt, the sock rule at a Tillinghast club, the guy oiling up on the first tee, and JT's line that if a collared shirt bars somebody from the game, get rid of it. The last third is for anyone who wants to teach golf for a living: 500 bosses, why they both left the private club world, and the two credit cards JT opened for his first Trackman.

  • Tiger Doesn't Take Divots. Here's What He Does Instead | Good Misses Ep. 2
    29 Sep 2026

Tiger told Scottie he doesn't take a divot when he's flushing it. Kieran and JT explain why: low point. This episode covers attack angle the right way, arc depth control as maybe the number one skill in golf, the Scottie Scheffler time machine, and the $25 Sharpie-on-a-mat drill. Then the equipment half: why the driver came out low, get fit first or take lessons first, handle draggers, 4-inch-long clubs, and the guy who has snapped 35 to 40 shafts over his knee.
