But nothing some rest, vitamins, good tea, and hearty home cooked meals couldn't take care of. My lovely wife played a big part in nursing me back to health haha. Hope this finds you in good spirits? Today I'll be solo-bolo for an 'In Between The Story'. We're going to talk a bit about the "feels" and the importance of not losing our humanness while navigating through this New Age of Intelligence. A topic that always seems to come up with me. So, hopefully moving forward we'll continue to build meaningful dialogues and explore ways to better live, and to be, embracing our individual experience. Something I've done for far too long is shut off, ignore and run from emotions.

So much is taking us away from the moment, ourselves, and the experience of it all. To live, and to be is truly becoming a lost Art. Infrastructures have been set in place, specifically to hi-jack reality, and to skin our sovereignty and sense of self bare. And the digital space has only exaggerated this truth.

Happy New Years!! Hope all is well, It's good to be back with another sit down, we've got another Story to share. Today Rachel joins us, and she has a story to tell.

"From a Kick in the Head to a Kick in the Ass" is the name of Rachel's memoir. Initially, it was only meant for her two boys. She raised her kids without telling them exactly what was going on with her health wise. From infusions to Ocular Melanoma diagnoses and therapy treatments, she kept her condition hidden from both her boys.

This memoir was Rachel's way of giving her boys a peek behind the curtain. An explanation to those treatments, therapies, and, in her words "so they could see life wasn’t bad and, as a family, they made my life a lot easier to navigate."

Listen to Rachel's optimism, and her refusal to "throw a pity party" , the joy and love she has for life, and for her family, and the resilient spirit which no diagnoses, disability or medical condition can choke out. We're back!!! And it feels good, too. On this new installment of 'In Between The Stories' we'll talk a little bit about the "quick fix." And, it's great exchange that promises to give us something for NOTHING!!

In his book The Art of Being, Erich Fromm outlines two modes of existence - having and being. The first, having, primarily possession-centered i.e. objects, status, desires; destructive or not. Is a life focused on consumption-we acquire, use up, discard, then repeat.

And its complete opposite, being, is a mode which is more activity-centered (experience, feeling). As with love, reason or productive activity. It cannot be bought, collected or hoarded.

One of the barriers when learning the art of being, writes Fromm, is the "no-effort, no pain" doctrine. From methods of education, with courses made to be as easy and pleasant as possible. Thus, studying too, should be felt as pleasant, and not forced. Where comes this idea of "effortless learning?" Fromm claims it's rooted in the advancements of Technology.

Raised in a strict religious community, and what Sarah called a cult. She eventually fled to the woods at 13 years old. Jumping on her bike, and pedaling along a lonely, dark road for 10 kilometers, in Northern British Columbia. With the threat of wildlife, no navigational tools, and the cold, Canadian chill. These are extreme conditions for anyone. But, Sarah was willing to take the risk.

The trauma, survival, healing, and courage to rebuild a life from the ground up, is only half of Sarah's story. She's got a message and a genuine desire to help others rise above their own hardships and find their inner strength. I'm pleased to bring to you another GIANTS AMONGST US. It sure is good to be back. I'm pleased to have another story to share with you. Hope all is well? Today Dr. Robert Bleck joins us, and he's got a story to tell.

To say Robert had a rough childhood would be an under statement. He was beaten, and abused physically and emotionally for many years under the hands of his own mother. Leading to deep wounds, After such trauma? How is one able to recover, heal, and still manage to enjoy a meaningful and fruitful life? A practicing psychotherapist, Dr. Robert Bleck is also here to talk about what's helped him and countless others heal from past emotional wounds.

Source Completion Therapy :

1. Awareness - people learn to explore, examine, and become aware of the main source of their dysfunctional behavior.
2. Relive, Re-experience, Release - An emotional experience in which individuals learn to relive and re-experience, in vivid details, the events, feelings, and circumstances related to their pain.
3. Completion - people learn to directly and effectively confront those responsible for their pain.

And going a little further, Robert will detail each of the 3 phases in his Source Completion Therapy. Very practical, it's been tried, tested and proven to be effective. Hope all is well? We're back with another one. Today Bob joins us, and he's got a story to tell.

I'm always excited to introduce a new guest and story on the Show. And this one in particular was special for reasons that go back to a childhood fear of mine. You see, when I was young I had this obsession with death. I was terrified of it. Not knowing exactly what lies beyond the grave. Is it the long sleep? Without sound, light, and in total darkness? Or will it be hell for some and heaven for others, according to what's written in the "good old book"?

Bob has gathered wisdom from over 100 near-death experiencers, and one of the main messages shared is "Love is the highest truth." Another message is that we are all "thoroughly interconnected." Two nuggets of wisdom I feel are important and worth sharing. Especially at a time when it seems society is becoming more divided and disconnected. With an open heart and mind I invite you to take in Bob's "Impressions of Near-Death Experiences' and sit with its message. May it feed your soul and light your path.
