Chris Elliott (Cell Arts Media / Black-Angeles) chatted with Chris Morrison of the acclaimed Indianapolis Death Doom band Mother of Graves! Their new album "The Light That Keeps Us," set for release on October 16th, 2026, via Profound Lore Records! Morrison detailed the process of the band's songwriting style, what about making their brand of music lends itself to an emotional catharsis, how they approached following up their stellar last album "The Periapt Of Absence," how underrated nineties Gothic Doom metal can be, what the heavy music scene in Indianapolis is like, writing epic songs that keep listeners engaged, and much more!

Mother of Graves is:

Brandon Howe – vocals, keyboards

Chris Morrison – guitar

Ben Sandman – guitar

Corey Clark – bass

Don Curtis – drums
