They almost bulldozed a 120-year-old golf course... until a veterinarian stepped in and saved it.
Matt and Hamil recap Golf On Any Tee's first two outings of the season (Thunderhawk and White Pines, raising $5K+ for the CDGA Foundation) before diving into the history of Ravisloe Country Club - a 120-year-old Donald Ross design in Homewood, IL that's been part of the GOAT program since 2020. They trace the course from its 1901 founding through Ross's renovations, its golden era hosting golf legends, a near-closure in 2008, and its rescue by Dr. Claude Gendron in 2009 - plus their favorite spots for a drink after the round. They wrap up with what's next for GOAT, including the August 7th outing at Hughes Creek, a new unlimited golf special, and a big upgrade to the app's booking process.
