What if forgiveness isn't about letting someone else off the hook... but about finally walking in the freedom Jesus has for you?

In our very first episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we have an honest conversation about one of the hardest things God calls us to do—forgive.

Together, we share our personal journeys, the struggles we faced, and how the Holy Spirit gently revealed areas of unforgiveness we didn't even realize we were still carrying. We talk about forgiving others, forgiving ourselves, and what Scripture teaches about living free from bitterness, shame, and resentment.

If you've ever wondered:
• Why is forgiveness so hard?
• Can I forgive someone who never apologized?
• What if I still feel hurt after I've forgiven?
• How do I forgive myself?
• What does biblical forgiveness actually look like?

...this conversation is for you.

Our prayer is that this episode reminds you that forgiveness isn't about minimizing what happened to you—it's about trusting God with your pain and allowing Him to heal what only He can heal.

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
— Ephesians 4:32

  • Episode 7 — Healing What’s Hidden | What Biblical Inner Healing Really Looks Like
    Sep 22 2026

What if the patterns you keep fighting aren’t just “bad habits”—but places in your heart that have never truly healed? And what does “inner healing” actually mean for a follower of Jesus?

In Episode 7 of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re stepping into our second pillar: Inner Healing. And we’re having this conversation from two different perspectives—one of us deeply passionate about inner healing, and one of us coming in with questions and even some skepticism.

Because we don’t want healing that makes us more focused on ourselves.

We want healing that brings us closer to Jesus.

In this episode, we talk about how wounds can shape what we believe, how those beliefs can create patterns in our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even physical responses—and what it can look like to invite the Holy Spirit into those places.

We walk through the connection between the body, soul, and spirit; anxiety and thought patterns; forgiveness and repentance; renewing the mind; replacing lies with biblical truth; and practical steps for bringing wounded places before God.

But ultimately, inner healing isn’t about digging through your past just to understand yourself better.

    It’s about surrender.

It’s about allowing Jesus into the places we’ve tried to protect, hide, suppress, or carry ourselves—and letting His truth transform what we believe and how we live.

Because the goal isn’t simply, “Jesus, make me feel better.”

The goal is: “Jesus, heal what needs healing so I can know You more, become more like You, and live fully surrendered to You.”

Maybe there are patterns in your life you’ve learned to live with.

Maybe there’s a reaction you can’t explain. Maybe you’ve forgiven someone with your mouth, but something in your heart still hurts. Or maybe, like Lilian, you’ve heard the words “inner healing” and wondered: Is this actually biblical?

This conversation is for you. 🤍

  • Episode 6: Take Every Thought Captive | Rewiring Your Mind With Truth
    Sep 15 2026

What if some of the thoughts shaping your life aren’t actually true?

We all have patterns of thinking—beliefs formed through our upbringing, experiences, wounds, fears, culture, and even things we’ve repeated to ourselves for years. And sometimes we’ve believed them for so long that we don’t even question them anymore.

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re getting radically honest about the battlefield of the mind and asking a hard question:

“What has been shaping the way I think—and does it actually align with the truth of God?”

We talk about renewing your mind, neuroplasticity, recognizing old thought patterns, pride, spiritual strongholds, discipline, and what Scripture actually means when it tells us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. Because renewing your mind isn’t simply positive thinking.

It isn’t manifesting a better life. And it isn’t about becoming a “better version of yourself.” It’s about recognizing the lie, bringing it under the authority of Jesus, replacing it with His truth, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform the way you think so that your life begins to look more like Christ.

And we’re sharing this while we’re still walking through it ourselves.

We haven’t mastered this. We’re learning how to recognize our own patterns, confront uncomfortable places, surrender what the Holy Spirit reveals, and allow Him to keep refining us.

Maybe freedom begins with getting radically honest enough to ask:

“Where did this belief come from? Is it true? And what does God say about it?”

“...we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5

  • Episode 5 :When I Stopped Trying to Change My Husband | Surrendering Your Marriage to Jesus
    Sep 8 2026

What if the breakthrough you’ve been praying for in your marriage doesn’t begin with your husband changing… but with surrender?

In this episode of From Brokenness to Freedom, we’re having an honest conversation about something we’ve both wrestled with: wanting our husbands to grow spiritually, lead differently, pray differently, or pursue Jesus the way we thought they should.

And somewhere along the way, a good desire became control.

We found ourselves watching their walk instead of tending to our own. Pushing instead of praying. Trying to produce in them what only the Holy Spirit can produce.

But things began to shift when we got out of the way.

When Jesus became not only our Savior, but our Lord, the question changed from:

“God, when are You going to change him?”

    to:

“Jesus, what are You asking of me?”

We talk about spiritual leadership, being in different places spiritually than your spouse, control, pride, forgiveness, submission, trusting God with your husband’s walk, and what it actually means to live under the Lordship of Jesus.

This isn’t about pretending marriage isn’t hard or ignoring real hurt. It’s about learning that our peace, obedience, and relationship with Jesus cannot depend on where our spouse is spiritually.

Your husband belongs to Jesus more than he belongs to you.

And maybe freedom begins when we finally trust Jesus enough to let Him be Lord over our marriage, too. 🤍
