Amanda Ashley has built a life around music, creativity and being completely herself. This week, she joins JoJo and Rebecca to talk about the different chapters of her career, from performing all over Rochester to writing new original music and playing bass in a new hard-rock project.

But some of the most meaningful work Amanda is doing happens offstage. As program director for Girls Rock and Pride Rock Rochester, she helps create a space where young people can learn music, take creative risks and build the confidence to be exactly who they are. Amanda shares what happens when kids who arrive nervous and unsure suddenly realize they’re in a room where nobody is judging them, and why learning to turn what you feel into art can matter more than becoming a great musician.

It’s still the 2 Fit Chicks ofc, so there’s plenty of fashion, fitness and real-life chaos along the way. From fit checks and vintage finds, to competition prep and the discipline behind getting stage-ready. The fit chicks know there’s a big difference between sharing what works for you and telling everyone else how they should live.

It’s a conversation about finding the things that make you feel most like yourself, and getting brave enough to actually do them.
