  • 9. The decision isn't wrong, but the timing is poor
    28 Oct 2026

A great decision made at the wrong time quickly becomes an unwise decision; biblical leadership requires checking the timing, resisting worldly urgency, and giving others the runway needed to process change.

    Scripture References

    • Proverbs 21:5

    Key Takeaways

    • The Four Checks of Decision Making: Sound, practical leadership decisions rely on four distinct evaluations: motive check, information check, counsel check, and timing check. Overlooking the timing check is one of the most common reasons well-intended initiatives fail or spark resistance.
    • Give People Runway for Buy-In: When a leader has spent weeks or months praying through and processing an idea, rolling it out as an immediate demand causes shock, pressure, and relational breakdown. Good leadership is fair with timing—it brings team members, volunteers, and families into the loop early so they have space to process before implementation.
    • Reject the Culture of Hurry: The worldly model of leadership pushes hustle, instant results, and false urgency. Scripture shows that God is not a God of hurry; His most significant work is often slow, intentional, and developed across seasons. Rushing into decisions out of artificial pressure rarely produces wise outcomes.

  • 8. When competition distracts from Godly purpose
    28 Oct 2026

    Big Idea

Leadership is an ultimate test of stewardship, not a competition; God entrusts each leader with specific, individualized responsibilities, and His concern is faithfulness with what we have been given, not comparison to others.

    Scripture References

    • Matthew 25:14–30 (The Parable of the Talents / Bags of Gold)

    Key Takeaways

    • Leadership Is Not a Competition: Human nature often tempts us to compare ourselves to other leaders or feel envious of those who appear to have more natural gifts, charisma, or opportunity. The master distributed talents intentionally to each servant based on their individual ability, showing that God evaluates our stewardship on its own merits, not against anyone else's assignment.
    • Shift from Financial Views to Total Entrustment: While the Parable of the Talents is often viewed through the lens of money or wealth, its deeper leadership principle centers on total entrustment—including the people under your care, your spouse, your children, your skills, and the decisions you make that directly shape lives.
    • Faithfulness over Equal Totals: When the master returned, he held each servant accountable individually without setting them side by side to compare outputs. God does not expect everyone to produce identical numbers; He expects intentional effort, care, and multiplication of whatever portion He trusted to your hands.

  • 7. Being accountable to God as a leader
    8 Oct 2026

Find Her Faithful, Lesson 5: "The Stewardship of Leadership"

    Big Idea

Leadership is not a temporary human achievement or title to pursue for self-gratification; it is a sacred, eternal entrustment from God for which every leader is directly accountable to Him.

    Scripture References

    • Matthew 25:14–30 (The Parable of the Talents/Bags of Gold)

    Key Takeaways

    • Shift from Self-Entitlement to Entrustment: Moving into leadership isn't just the "next step" at work, an ego boost, or something you are entitled to. True biblical leadership recognizes that every position, project, and relationship is an unmerited entrustment from God to steward and multiply.
    • Recognize the Ultimate Auditor: We answer to a much higher standard than our worldly bosses, supervisors, or organizations. God Himself is the Master who will ask for an accounting of what we did with the people, time, and influence He trusted to our care.
    • Reject Passive and Lazy Leadership: Simply holding a leadership title does not mean you are leading well. Stewarding your influence means avoiding complacency, actively seeking personal growth, investing in your team, and refusing to hide behind excuses.
