Summer is done and dusted, and the lads are here to talk about what they watched. The full rollout of Smoking Behind the Supermarket is covered. Re: Zero Season 4 returned. Goodbye, Lara toyed with some hearts. Demons of the Shadow Realm, The Ghost in the Shell, etc. Plus a few recommendations!

As Summer gives way to Fall we take a moment to reflect on the changes all around us. First with a eulogy and a look back at the career of the late Mike McFarland. After that we delve into a discussion on changes that anime make to plot when adapting manga, for better and for worse. Don't worry, it's not all doom and gloom! (Also, please forgive your engineer/editor's voice this week as her ass is getting kicked by a cold.) Plus some hot takes, recommendations, and the usual antics to lighten the mood.

Doldrums. That's where we are at. Why are we stuck drifting with no wind in our sails? The corporate overlords are doing their damndest to turn us all back into surfs. In context, we are talking about licensing, expired and out-of-print shows and manga, and what we wish would become physical and available in our native language. Plus news, and some recommendations while there are still things out there available for purchase.
