  • The Eagles Find Ways to WIN. The Jets Find Ways to LOSE | Week 2 Reactions
    Sep 22 2026

The Eagles Find Ways to WIN. The Jets Find Ways to LOSE. | Week 2 Reactions

The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets could not have had more different Week 2 experiences.

The Eagles didn't play their best football against the Tennessee Titans, but Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia found a way to escape with a 24-20 win and improve to 2-0. The Jets, meanwhile, controlled the Green Bay Packers for most of the game, held a 17-7 fourth-quarter lead, and somehow found a way to lose 20-17 in overtime.

    Polar opposites.

We break down the Eagles' Week 2 win, Jalen Hurts' game-winning touchdown drive, DeVonta Smith's huge performance, Dontayvion Wicks' emergence, concerns about the Eagles offensive line, and what Philadelphia's 2-0 start says about a franchise that consistently finds ways to win even when it isn't playing its best football.

Then we turn to the New York Jets and another heartbreaking loss. The Jets were the better team for most of the afternoon before blowing a 10-point fourth-quarter lead. We discuss Geno Smith's performance, the Jets offensive line, Aaron Glenn's late-game clock management, the failed 3rd-and-1 and 4th-and-1, and how a game that had Jets fans starting to believe turned into another painful example of the "Same Old Jets."

The Eagles find ways to win.

The Jets find ways to lose.

Week 2 was a perfect snapshot of two franchises, two cultures, and two organizations heading in completely different directions.

  • The PERFECT Weekend: Eagles, Giants & Jets ALL WIN | Week 1 Reactions
    Sep 15 2026

The PERFECT Weekend: Eagles, Giants & Jets ALL WIN | Week 1 Reactions

What a way to start the 2026 NFL season. The Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants AND New York Jets all came away with Week 1 wins — and we’re breaking down everything we saw from a huge opening weekend for New York and Philadelphia football.

The Eagles opened their season with a 24-22 win over the Washington Commanders. We react to Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Dallas Goedert and the Eagles offense, plus another strong performance from Vic Fangio’s defense. How impressive was Philadelphia’s Week 1 win, what concerns remain, and what should Eagles fans expect in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans?

Then it’s time for a reaction Sistad probably didn’t want to give: the Giants looked GOOD. The New York Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys 28-20 on Sunday Night Football behind an outstanding performance from Jaxson Dart and a strong Giants rushing attack. Did we already see the John Harbaugh effect in New York? Are the Giants better than we expected? And if Sistad believes Dallas is the Eagles’ biggest NFC East competition, should the self-proclaimed #1 Giants hater actually be HAPPY the Cowboys lost?

Finally, the Jets dominated the Titans 23-10 in Tennessee. Geno Smith delivered an efficient performance, Breece Hall topped 100 rushing yards, and the Jets defense made life miserable for Cam Ward. We break down Aaron Glenn’s impressive start, the Jets’ offensive approach, their young defense and whether Jets fans should start believing — or wait until they face better competition.

    Eagles 1-0. Giants 1-0. Jets 1-0.

Was this the PERFECT opening weekend for New York and Philadelphia football?

Are Jets Fans Fooling Themselves Again? | New York Jets 2026 Season Preview

The 2026 New York Jets season is here and once again, Jets fans are finding reasons to believe.

But are Jets fans actually justified in being optimistic about this team, or are they fooling themselves into the hype all over again?

In Episode 131 of Fanatics & Analytics, we break down the New York Jets heading into the 2026 NFL season, Aaron Glenn’s critical second year as head coach, the revamped Jets roster, Geno Smith taking over at quarterback, and whether this team has actually improved enough to compete.

We break down the Jets offense, including Geno Smith, Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Garrett Wilson, rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., Adonai Mitchell, Kenyon Sadiq, Mason Taylor and a young offensive line the Jets have invested heavily in.

Then we turn to Aaron Glenn’s defense. The Jets completely changed the identity of the unit this offseason, adding more size and physicality while bringing in players like David Bailey, Minkah Fitzpatrick, T’Vondre Sweat and Joseph Ossai. Can Glenn finally build the defense he envisioned when the Jets hired him?

There are legitimate reasons for Jets fans to have hope. But there’s a big difference between having exciting young players and actually having a good football team.

    We discuss:
    • Aaron Glenn’s future and how important Year 2 is for his job security
    • Geno Smith and the Jets quarterback situation
    • Breece Hall and Braelon Allen
    • Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr. and Adonai Mitchell
    • Kenyon Sadiq and Mason Taylor
    • The Jets offensive line
    • David Bailey and the revamped Jets pass rush
    • Minkah Fitzpatrick and the new-look secondary
    • The Jets somehow finishing last season with ZERO interceptions
    • The Jets kicking situation
    • Best-case, realistic and worst-case scenarios for 2026
    • Our final New York Jets 2026 season predictions

Are Jets fans right to believe this team could surprise people in 2026? Or is this just another offseason of Jets fans talking themselves into a team that still isn’t very good?

This Eagles Team Is Better Than You Think | Philadelphia Eagles 2026 Season Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles enter the 2026 NFL season with Super Bowl expectations — but are Eagles fans underestimating just how good this team could be?

In our Philadelphia Eagles 2026 Season Preview, Andrew and Sistad break down everything Eagles fans need to know heading into the new season. Sistad is feeling optimistic about Philadelphia, but there are plenty of questions surrounding Jalen Hurts, the new-look Eagles offense, the post-A.J. Brown receiving corps, and a young Eagles defense being asked to replace several key departures.

🏈 On this Eagles season preview:

    • How much pressure is on Jalen Hurts in 2026?
    • Can Hurts silence his critics in Philadelphia?
    • What will the Eagles offense look like under new OC Sean Mannion?
    • Life after A.J. Brown and what his departure means for the passing game
    • Can DeVonta Smith take another step after topping 1,000 receiving yards last season?
    • What should Eagles fans expect from first-round WR Makai Lemon?
    • How does Saquon Barkley factor into the new offense?
    • Breaking down Philadelphia's offensive line and tight ends
    • Jonathan Greenard and the Eagles pass rush
    • Can the young Eagles linebackers step up after the offseason departures?
    • Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean and the future of the Eagles secondary
    • Did Howie Roseman do enough to keep Philadelphia among the NFC's elite?
    • Eagles record prediction, NFC East outlook and Super Bowl ceiling
    • And most importantly: Are the 2026 Philadelphia Eagles better than people think?

Sistad brings the Eagles fan perspective and explains why he's optimistic about this roster, while Andrew pushes back on some of the biggest questions and concerns surrounding Philadelphia entering the season.

Are the Eagles still one of the best teams in the NFC? Is Jalen Hurts being unfairly criticized? And how far will Philadelphia go in 2026?

  • New York Giants 2026 Season Preview | Is John Harbaugh About to Turn This Team Around?
    Sep 1 2026

New York Giants 2026 Season Preview | Is John Harbaugh About to Turn This Team Around?

The New York Giants enter the 2026 NFL season with John Harbaugh as their new head coach, Jaxson Dart entering Year 2, and legitimate optimism that Big Blue could finally take a major step forward. But are the Giants actually ready to compete in the NFC East, or is the John Harbaugh hype getting out of control?

In our complete New York Giants 2026 season preview, we break down the Giants offense, defense, special teams, offseason additions and losses, and give our final Giants record predictions and NFL win total picks.

We discuss Jaxson Dart's development, Malik Nabers, Darnell Mooney, Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy Jr., Isaiah Likely, Theo Johnson and the revamped Giants offensive line. Can Dart emerge as the Giants' franchise quarterback and take this offense to another level under John Harbaugh?

On defense, we break down Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Tremaine Edmunds, Arvell Reese and the massive impact of losing Dexter Lawrence. The Giants finished 5th in Pass Rush Win Rate last season but just 28th in Run Stop Win Rate. Can this defense actually become one of the NFL's better units?

We also discuss John Harbaugh's potential impact on the Giants' struggling special teams, Dominic Svada, Jordan Stout, and whether New York can finally stabilize that phase of the game.

Finally, we make our New York Giants 2026 predictions, including the over/under 7.5 wins, NFC East outlook and whether the Giants can legitimately compete for an NFL playoff spot.

And somehow, Sistad, a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan who hates the Giants, might be even MORE optimistic about Big Blue than Andrew.

Are the 2026 New York Giants about to surprise the NFL? Is the John Harbaugh era going to turn the franchise around? Drop your Giants record prediction in the comments!

Did Brian Cashman do enough to keep the Yankees in World Series contention, or did the front office wave the white flag? Yankees fans are furious after an underwhelming deadline, and with Andrew out this week, nobody is here to calm the fanbase down.

Meanwhile, the Phillies pushed their chips toward the middle by acquiring Luis Arraez, Brooks Raley, and Caleb Killian—but did they overpay for a one-dimensional hitter? Sistad gives his honest reaction while we debate whether Philadelphia actually improved enough for October.

The Mets took a completely different approach, selling off veteran talent, moving Freddy Peralta and several other pieces, and loading up on prospects. Was it the right move for the future, or did they give up too soon?
