  • S4 EP3 – Gear, Goals & The Stuff in My Head | Golf, HYROX & Life at 50
    12 Oct 2026

Golf is trending in the right direction, HYROX Anaheim is getting real, and apparently I’m thinking about racing even when I’m asleep.

This week on Fairway Conversations, I talk about shooting a 77 and dropping to a 5.9 handicap, the gear I’m actually using, preparing for my first HYROX Singles race, and officially punching my ticket for HYROX Phoenix—my first race in the 50–54 age group.

Plus, a big shoutout to Gabriel Jacobo and Lucas Wenzel after finishing HYROX Boston Pro Doubles in 55:01—7th overall and 3rd in their age group for their first podium finish.

Golf. HYROX. Gear. Goals. And all the stuff in my head as 50 gets closer.

  • S4 EP2 – Nobody’s Making Me Do This | Why I’m Still Chasing It After 50
    28 Sep 2026

Nobody’s making me train. Nobody’s making me chase a better HYROX time, become a better golfer, keep working on this podcast, or find out how good I can get as I approach 50.

So why the hell am I doing it?

This episode of Fairway Conversations is about the answer to that question. I talk about motivation versus discipline, why I still need something to chase, dealing with the days when I don't feel like putting in the work, and why getting older doesn't mean I'm ready to get comfortable.

Golf. HYROX. Fitness. Life. Podcasting. They're different challenges, but they're all part of the same experiment:

How much better can I still get?

Nobody's making me do this. I'm choosing to.

  • S4 EP1 - How Good Can I Get After 50? | The New Fairway Conversations
    13 Sep 2026

Fairway Conversations is back! Looking a little different.

In this episode, I talk about where the podcast has been, where it’s going, and why I decided to take the show in a new direction.

At 49 and closing in on 50, I keep coming back to one question:

How good can a regular working guy actually get after 50?

I’m a corporate working professional, a 6-handicap golfer, and a HYROX athlete. I don’t have unlimited time to train, play golf, recover, or work on my game. I’ve got the same responsibilities most people do.

But I still want to find out what I’m capable of.

On the golf side, the goal is simple: Break 80 Anywhere. Not just at my home course or somewhere I know every bounce, I want to build a game that travels.

On the fitness side, I’m stepping into the HYROX 50–54 division and asking another question: Can I actually become competitive in my age group?

And then there’s everything that goes with it; training, recovery, nutrition, equipment, sleep, work, family, travel, mistakes, failures, and figuring out what actually works.

This episode also reintroduces Gabe the CaliLobo, the mindset behind this next chapter, and a new level of accountability. I’m not just going to talk about getting better. I’m going to set goals, test myself, track the results, and come back here and tell you exactly what happened — good or bad.

No pretending that I have everything figured out.

Just the pursuit of getting better.

Golf. Fitness. Life. And the question that’s going to drive this show: How good can I get after 50?

Welcome to the new Fairway Conversations.
