One year into this podcast and we've made the decision to hang the boots up to pursue something much bigger! FIFO life is a 2-way street with a young family. Everyone talks about dad working away, but the work that mum does to keep the fort running at home often gets swept under the rug. Not getting paid for the work of being a mum (or getting any super), putting their career on hold and just generally being on call 24/7; being a FIFO mum isn’t an easy gig! We discuss the misconceptions made about stay-at-home mums especially the “sitting around the house all day” comment and a lot of the other issues FIFO mums face!
