Walking My Way: DAYS 10 & 11: Grañon to Villafranca Montes de Oca to Burgos

What a lovely two days, including some of the mentally toughest walking bits! When you've been at it for 8 hours already and have many kilometres left before you've completed your first marathon... your mind does interesting things.

I'm Ruby, I'm 22 and I live in London. I graduated from Cambridge last year and have been working in TV production since. I'm taking time off work to go on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across France and Spain (I’m doing the full Camino Frances). I will be walking 800 km as a female solo traveller, completely untrained (in fact with a hip injury). This journey has been a dream of mine since I was 15, when I read The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho. I wouldn’t say I’m religious, but I do have some sort of relationship with spirituality, which I am hoping to explore on this trip. Walking My Way: DAY 8: Logroño to Nájera I was grumpy today for reasons partially disclosed on this podcast episode hehehe... but I got all my friends together in the evening to discuss what we had learnt today before we did some yoga.

Did not discuss the fact that Thomas cooked us an incredible smoked salmon pasta thing which I still dream about...
