"Now if you surround it with a lot of instrumental noise and the audience grew up watching “Creepshow” on television, then it probably sounds better to you than it would have to Italians a couple of hundred years ago (especially if you are a “rebellious teenage” type). Now if you want to sound like this, that’s your decision, but I’d caution about the toll it might take on your vocal cords, and if you asked me to teach you something along these lines, I’d suggest going with a gentle falsetto approach, which should be considerably easier on your vocal cords (but still something to be careful with)." - nickspinner
