Send us Fan Mail"Today, we continue our deeper dive into Genesis 39, where we see Joseph descend into slavery and then into prison. Did you know that the same God who was with Joseph in his difficulty is with you in Christ?"We dig into Genesis 39 and track how Joseph stays faithful in Egypt while everything around him pushes compromise. We walk through God’s presence in suffering, a hard reset on what “prosperity” means, and the kind of integrity that holds up under daily pressure. • Genesis 38 as an intentional contrast between Judah’s compromise and Joseph’s refusal to blend in • God’s presence with Joseph as the thread that runs through slavery, uncertainty, and progress • Romans 8:28 as a lens for reading Joseph’s story and our own hardships • Prosperity redefined as God with us rather than stuff, status, or comfort • Faithfulness producing favor, steady work, and visible blessing in a difficult environment • Temptation as repeated pressure, not a one-time moment • Practicing God’s presence as a real-world strategy for resisting sin • Integrity as being whole, the same person when no one is around • Wisdom about boundaries, isolation, and knowing when to run If you have any prayer requests, just reach out, shoot us an email, a text, or Request Prayer Here, and we will lift you up in prayer. Please click on the underlined links throughout.Full message at Calvary Chapel SouthportGenesis 39 Blog postSermon notesLocal opportunities to see Genesis 'JOE' in North Carolina:Genesis 'JOE' @ Beaufort County Community College hosted by Calvary Chapel Inner Banks (IBX) (Reserve your free seat here!)Genesis 'JOE' @ Calvary Chapel Southport (Reserve your free seat here!)If you enjoy Christian podcasts, Calvary Chapel stories, ministry behind-the-scenes moments, and biblical storytelling that sticks with you, hit play and come along.
