  • Google Fired You
    Jul 7 2025

This sound project was an experimentation with the sound of words by Martin, Maelle, Xael, Clotilde, Carly and Mimosa. They focused on how language can be transformed from one to another. Using Google Translate’s voice, they tried to see where translations could lead them. Google Translate isn’t always accurate so they were left with some pretty crazy translations : one sentence losing all of its meaning when translated to another language, sometimes words that didn’t even make sense, sometimes just the sound of the letters. They followed a protocol, all using their phones, sitting next to a computer and a keyboard, they started with simple sentences from french or english and translated them to some other language and then back to french or english, and so on, until they were left with a weird - yet poetic - sound. In this project you can hear them elaborating the protocol, and trying out things, such as vocoder or live music. This journey led them to a music with computer-like sounds and lyrics that came from Google Translate.

  • The Sloppy Mimic in the Wood
    May 14 2025

The work we produced with the group is a listening experience based on a horror story, drawing on the found-footage genre to capture a mood. The latter is part of an “archive” style of media, but with invented stories, offering an experience that seems to have been captured on the spot. This approach enabled us to capture particular sounds, and use them to benefit the overall mood of the podcast.

  • At the heart of tradition
    May 2 2025

In this podcast, we will talk about traditions, this precious heritage that forges our identity. Through our personal experiences, cultures, families and knowledge, we explore what makes these customs so vibrant and essential.

We will begin by highlighting traditional music made on the drum, true vectors of emotion and cultural transmission. Then, we will take you into the warm world of knitting, an artisanal practice often passed down from generation to generation, where grandmothers teach young ones the art of creating with their hands.

We will also broaden our perspective by discussing the richness of African culture and how it inspires vibrant, colorful and deeply rooted traditions.

Finally, we will share how these traditions and heritage directly influence our personal and creative projects this year. For us, these transmissions are not simple customs of the past: they embody essential pillars of who we are today.

  • Feminism in the streets
    Apr 30 2025

Here we follow the story of a young woman. She was about to return home when she had the impression of being followed... This is how she discreetly called her friend, speaking to her in a message coded to make her understand that she is in danger. Who is it? Is it really someone? A woman would not have to be afraid of being alone in the street...

The two women therefore find themselves exchanging their points of view concerning art, feminist artists or not.

  • Inside / Outside
    Apr 23 2025

Inside / outside is a travel, physical and emotional. It’s about the sensations that we’re going through and experiencing in everyday lives, in public transport, riding a bicycle, in the street. Sound is connected to sensations.

In this work, we are taking the fact that the external sounds impact us, our feeling ; making us feeling happy, smooth, agitated, stressed, oppressed. The metro’s or ambulance buzzer, the rhythm of the metro, birds sounds, receiving the “signals” of the external environment.

We wanted to play with utopia and dystopia, to create confusion in the listener’s mind. We don’t know if it’s something chaotic like a war and everything falling down or if everything’s okay and it’s just a mental travel. We really appreciated working on this limits and making some noises to imagine an illusion in exploring and exploiting recording defaults.
