你大概已經聽過《D 大調卡農》一萬遍了——但你知道這首曲子被埋沒了將近三百年嗎？
Johann Pachelbel 大約在 1680 年代寫下這首卡農。三把小提琴輪唱，大提琴在底下重複同樣八個音，從頭到尾不變。簡單、重複、催眠——然後它就消失了。手稿安靜地躺在柏林圖書館裡，沒有人記得它。
直到 1968 年，一位法國指揮家 Jean-François Paillard 把它收進一張唱片裡。十年之後，它突然從一首沒人知道的巴洛克小品，變成全世界最受歡迎的古典音樂之一。
沒有電影帶紅它，沒有任何推廣——它就是紅了。
而且那個八音低音進行，後來被無數流行歌偷走：Green Day 的〈Basket Case〉、Maroon 5 的〈Memories〉，底層的和弦跟 Pachelbel 一模一樣。
至於大提琴手為什麼恨它？因為他們要把同樣八個音重複拉二十幾遍，而小提琴在上面越飛越華麗。
