Piedmont was the area we first imported the delicious Bossotti wines from nearly 25 years ago. We begin with a little insight into importing wine and our recent difficulties getting wine from Italy! Seriously though, this is a delightful region to explore. Piedmont offers wine, hazelnuts and delicious food and one of the producers, Cerrino, has hazelnut trees as well as vines.

An introduction to Jack's foray to Pinoso - more to come on that in the next episode - to Bodega Pinoso in Spain. And Osian has done some interesting research into the etymology of a couple of grape names!

Also mentioned for the Vermouth connection is the excellent Ultracomida in Aberystwyth, Narberth and Vermut in Cardiff. Do visit if you are there, it is an unique experience and the Curado Bar is next door for more food!
