Dimension X presents “The Last Objective,” episode 35, originally broadcast on NBC on June 3, 1951. Adapted by Ernest Kinoy from Paul A. Carter’s short story, the drama was directed by Edward King and features Lawson Zerbe, Wendell Holmes, and Staats Cotsworth.

After nuclear devastation has made Earth’s surface nearly uninhabitable, a continuing war is fought beneath the planet in heavily armed tunneling warships. This Cold War-era post-atomic drama brings the tension of a naval adventure to a dangerous underground battlefield.

Dimension X presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
