Dimension X presents “First Contact,” episode 47, originally broadcast on September 8, 1951. Adapted by Howard Rodman from Murray Leinster’s acclaimed 1945 science-fiction novelette, this NBC drama features Bill Quinn, Cameron Prud’homme, John McGovern, Wendell Holmes, and Bob Hastings.

An Earth exploratory ship encounters an alien spacecraft in deep space, opening a line of communication—and a tense dilemma. Each crew must weigh caution, trust, and survival when neither side is willing to reveal the path home to a potential future enemy.

Old Time Sci-Fi Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
