This is the author's podcast reading of the first chapter of the book Det 25: A Soldier's Story by Michael Haley. The first chapter is titled "The Road to Gardez." The introduction to the reading is in the author's own words and voice. Telling a little bit about the book and its historical development is not something that other authors do to publicize their books. The book is available from Newman Springs Publishing, Amazon.com, or at Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Listeners can also find additional information about the book on its website at the associated author's website: https://www.mikehaley77.wixsite.com/det25. There are lots of photographs and a video from the year in Afghanistan. Check it out.
