On this episode of Deck Talk Podcast, we sit down with Randy from Lurch’s Lures to dive deep into the world of custom baits. Randy walks us through his process of designing and building lures that work from freshwater lakes and rivers all the way out to saltwater.
We talk about our favorite Lurch’s Lures baits, including underspins, vibrating jigs, spinnerbaits, and his highly effective shrimp pattern. Randy shares the thinking behind each design, how he tunes them for different conditions and species, and why these custom creations stand out from mass-produced tackle.
Whether you’re a bass angler, inshore saltwater guy, or just love handmade baits that actually get bit, this episode is packed with practical insights and fishing stories.
