DAY 300🔥 “THE GOSPEL FOR ALL”Series: THE CHURCH IS BORN📖 Acts 10🎉 DAY 300! What an incredible milestone as we continue our journey through God's Word together! The gospel of Jesus Christ was never intended for one nation, one culture, or one group of people. It is the good news of salvation that must be proclaimed to the entire world! In Acts 10, we witness one of the most significant turning points in the history of the early church.God is about to break through deeply rooted cultural and religious barriers, demonstrating that His saving grace extends to people from every nation and background. And He does it through an extraordinary encounter between two very different men.Cornelius was a Roman centurion. He was devout, generous, prayerful, and deeply respectful toward God.By human standards, he was a good man.But there was something Cornelius still needed. He needed the gospel of Jesus Christ! His religious devotion could not save him.His generosity could not earn forgiveness. And his prayers, as sincere as they were, could not replace the finished work of Jesus Christ.God sends an angel to instruct Cornelius to call for Peter, who will explain the message of salvation.Meanwhile, Peter receives a remarkable vision.A sheet descends from heaven containing animals that Jewish dietary laws had previously forbidden him to eat.And Peter hears these words:📖 Acts 10:15"What God has made clean, do not call common."At first, Peter struggles to understand what God is teaching him.But when he arrives at Cornelius's home, the meaning becomes clear.God is confronting the cultural and religious barriers that had separated Jews and Gentiles for generations.Peter declares:📖 Acts 10:34–35"Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him."God does not show ethnic favoritism. His saving grace is not restricted by nationality, social standing, or cultural background! And Peter begins proclaiming Jesus Christ. He tells Cornelius and those gathered in his home about the life and ministry of Jesus. He proclaims His crucifixion. He announces His bodily resurrection. And he declares that Jesus is the One appointed by God to judge the living and the dead. Then comes one of the most glorious statements in the chapter.📖 Acts 10:43"To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES!Not everyone who belongs to the right nationality. Not everyone who has a respectable religious background. Not everyone who has performed enough good works.Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ receives forgiveness of sins through His name! And while Peter is still speaking, the Holy Spirit falls upon the Gentile believers. The Jewish Christians who accompanied Peter are astonished.God is demonstrating that Gentiles who trust in Jesus Christ are fully welcomed into His redeemed people. They receive the same Holy Spirit. They belong to the same church. And they are saved through the same Savior. One Lord. One gospel. One salvation. One people united in Jesus Christ!🔥 Five powerful lessons from Acts 10:✅ 1. Being religious is not the same as being saved.Cornelius was devoted to prayer, generous toward others, and respectful toward God. But he still needed the gospel. Salvation is not earned through human goodness; it is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.✅ 2. God's saving grace is not limited by human boundaries.Peter learned that cultural background and ethnicity do not determine who can receive the gospel. Jesus Christ came to save sinners from every nation and people.✅ 3. The gospel must remain centered on Jesus Christ.Peter did not preach religious tolerance, personal improvement, or human morality as the solution to sin. He proclaimed the crucified and risen Savior.✅ 4. Every genuine believer belongs fully to the body of Christ. When the Holy Spirit came upon the Gentiles, God demonstrated that they were not second-class believers. They had received the same salvation through the same Lord.✅ 5. The Great Commission calls us to reach everyone. The church must never limit its witness to people who look like us, think like us, or share our cultural background. The message of Jesus Christ is for the nations. And here's something we desperately need to remember today. The gospel is exclusive in its Savior, but universal in its invitation!Jesus Christ is not one way to God among many.He is the only Savior. But the invitation to repent and believe in Him extends to every person, regardless of their background. And that raises an important question for us.Are there people we have stopped trying to reach because they are different from us?People whose backgrounds we don't understand?People whose lifestyles are different from ours?People whose beliefs or cultural experiences make us uncomfortable?People we have quietly assumed would never respond to the gospel?...
