  • “When the Noise Became Quiet”
    19 Oct 2026

As my recovery continued, I noticed something changing. I no longer needed every conversation to revolve around David and his addiction. I could carry what was happening quietly in my heart without constantly needing to explain, vent, or seek advice.

In this episode, I share how stepping away from that need became another part of my own recovery—and how, little by little, I began finding my way back to myself.

  • My Recovery — Finding My Way Back to Myself
    12 Oct 2026

In this episode, I begin to understand that recovery wasn’t only David’s journey. It was mine too.

As I looked more deeply at myself, I began to recognize patterns that had started long before addiction entered our family — my need to please, my fear of disappointing others, and the expectations I carried from my own childhood into the way I raised my children.

I started to see how easily love can become mixed with control, expectations, and the desire to protect the people we love from making choices we fear.

My recovery became a journey of looking inward — not to blame the past, but to understand it. And slowly, I began finding my way back to the person I was underneath all those expectations.

Sometimes, while desperately trying to save someone we love, we discover that we need healing too.

  • Detachment With Love — Learning to Trust Again
    7 Oct 2026

In this episode, I go deeper into one of the hardest lessons I had to learn as a mother of a son struggling with addiction: how to detach without withdrawing my love.

Even when David was working on his recovery, fear was still quietly living inside me. I had to learn to trust him again — but I also had to learn to trust myself.

Slowly, our relationship began to change. Instead of trying to fix, advise, or control what happened next, I learned simply to listen. We began living our separate lives while finding our way back to each other — going to the beach, running errands, spending time together, talking and laughing again.

Detachment with love didn’t mean loving David less. It meant learning a different way to love him — one that gave both of us room to grow.

If this episode speaks to you, please consider sharing it with someone who may need to hear it.
