I talk about the difference between understanding acceptance in theory and actually living it, the importance of honesty within the family, and how confusing it can be when advice comes from people who love us but may not understand addiction.

I began to learn that I needed support, reliable guidance, and the courage to make decisions that sometimes looked completely wrong to people on the outside.

Most of all, this episode is about love—the extraordinary love David gave me, and the difficult lesson that loving someone does not always mean rescuing them.
