Episode 10 of the Crew One Podcast features Mike and Stephanie Grable, two longtime Ohio residents who have gone from high school football, family life and ordinary careers to becoming active voices in the UFO disclosure movement.

Mike and Stephanie are leaders with Citizens for Disclosure, connected with the New Paradigm Institute, and organizers of the Dayton UFO Conference near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base — one of the most historically significant locations in the American UFO story.

In this conversation, we cover a lot of ground.

We start with Wright-Patterson, Roswell and the long-running claims that recovered material — and possibly bodies — from the 1947 Roswell incident eventually made their way to Dayton. Mike discusses the research of Stanton Friedman, Donald Schmitt and longtime Wright-Patterson engineer and UFO researcher Ray Szymanski, along with the unique scientific and materials-research role Wright-Patterson has played for decades.

But this episode quickly becomes much more personal.

Stephanie shares an experience from childhood when, on Christmas Eve, she saw a bright red ball of light shoot across a dark rural road and disappear into the woods — something she interpreted at six years old as Rudolph and Santa Claus.

Mike then tells a much more unsettling story from his own childhood.

At around four or five years old, Mike remembers waking up to what he describes as a human-sized but nonhuman being standing at the foot of his bed and grabbing his ankle. He remembers being terrified and pleading for his life. Decades later, after reconsidering the experience through the lens of the UFO/contact phenomenon, Mike called his mother and asked whether he had ever told her about something coming into his room.

Her response shocked both Mike and Stephanie.

According to Mike, his mother told him that as a child he had repeatedly talked about people, creatures or beings coming to the side of his bed — memories Mike says he no longer had.

From there, we get into the possibility that anomalous experiences may run through families, why so many experiencers stay silent, and why people often begin connecting UFO encounters with paranormal experiences, consciousness, dreams, meditation and other forms of high strangeness.

Stephanie discusses meditation, vivid waking visions, “downloads,” orbs, paranormal encounters and how these experiences have changed the way she looks at other people, consciousness and the nature of reality.

We also dig into religion.

Mike explains how rereading the Old Testament, studying ancient civilizations and examining stories involving the Nephilim, angels and beings from the sky caused him to reconsider some traditional religious interpretations. We talk about whether ancient people may have described extraordinary encounters using the only language available to them — and whether modern humanity might now call those same kinds of beings extraterrestrial, interdimensional or nonhuman intelligence.

Do UFO disclosure and Christianity have to be mutually exclusive?

What happens to religion if we learn that humanity is not alone?

And are people really prepared for the psychological and spiritual consequences of disclosure?

On Episode 9 of the Crew One Podcast, Adam sits down with an old friend and former college football teammate, Kyle McLellan, for a conversation that starts on the football field, heads straight for the Space Coast, and eventually disappears down some of the deepest rabbit holes yet explored on the show. Kyle grew up in Palm Bay, Florida, in the heart of Florida's Space Coast, where America's space program wasn't something happening on television—it was part of the landscape. As a kid, Kyle remembers looking up and watching space shuttles climb into the sky. Members of his family worked in and around NASA and the aerospace industry, including an uncle involved with preparing the Space Shuttle for flight and another who eventually moved into private industry. Growing up around that world left an impression. Today, Kyle follows the UFO/UAP issue closely. But he's not convinced that aliens provide the best explanation for everything people are seeing. In fact, his working theory is very different. Could at least some of the extraordinary craft reported by pilots, military personnel, and ordinary witnesses actually represent highly advanced human technology hidden inside classified programs and private aerospace companies? If so, how far ahead of publicly acknowledged technology might those programs actually be?Kyle recalls a particularly intriguing comment from one of his relatives in aerospace: “They do have some crazy stuff.” But who exactly are “they”? That question launches a much bigger conversation about private aerospace, black-budget programs, government secrecy, the UFO videos released to the public, Tic Tac-shaped objects, black triangles, orbs, alleged crash-retrieval programs, “non-human biologics,” and whether the American public is ever likely to receive the complete story.

Kyle isn't an unquestioning believer. Quite the opposite. Throughout the episode, Kyle repeatedly comes back to the same answer: I don’t know.

He believes some UFOs may be made by us. He remains skeptical about ET explanations. But he also isn't prepared to say that aliens are impossible.

How do we decide what to believe when the available evidence is incomplete? And what happens when extraordinary claims collide with institutions that have already lost our trust?

Those questions carry extra weight because of Kyle’s career. After college, he spent nearly 17 years working as a paramedic before becoming a registered nurse shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s spent much of his adult life encountering people during emergencies, illness, fear, uncertainty, and some of the worst moments of their lives. So, after seeing human nature up close for all those years, how does Kyle think people would react if undeniable evidence of extraterrestrial life suddenly emerged?

His answer is immediate: “Pandemonium.”

Kyle points to the behavior he witnessed during COVID as an example of what fear and uncertainty can do to people. If shortages of ordinary household supplies could trigger panic, what would happen if people were suddenly forced to reconsider humanity’s place in the universe? Would disclosure simply be exciting? Or would it shatter people’s reality?

And can faith accommodate a universe filled with other intelligent beings? Would it destroy religious belief—or expand it? And what happens psychologically when something a person experiences directly conflicts with what they have always believed about reality?

The Crew One Podcast isn’t about pretending to have every answer. It’s about creating a place where people with different experiences and different levels of belief can talk openly about subjects once considered too strange.
