In this episode of The Impact Connection, Impact 4 Good sits down with Megan Goffney, Chief Program Officer, and Nurjan Maksutova, Director of Development at Shelter House, to learn how the Northern Virginia nonprofit is helping individuals and families facing homelessness and domestic violence find safety, stability, and hope. Through seven shelter facilities and multiple housing programs across Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, Shelter House provides safe housing and supportive services that help neighbors build healthier, more stable futures.
Impact 4 Good is honored to partner with Shelter House through hands-on give back experiences like Mural of Hope, which brings corporate teams together to create uplifting artwork for spaces that could use a little extra color and inspiration. Through this experience, participants painted and assembled a colorful mural that now brightens one of Shelter House's hallways, offering what one individual described as a glimpse of hope during a challenging time.
Tune in to hear how Shelter House is providing compassionate care, safe housing, and supportive services to help individuals and families build more stable futures, and how community partnerships and acts of kindness can bring hope to those facing difficult circumstances.
